Enrique Olvera Of Cosme Planning A Casual Mexican Spot In Noho

Enrique Olvera's team is opening a more casual Mexican restaurant in Noho

Enrique Olvera and the team behind New York's critical Mexican darling Cosme—also known as the group behind the acclaimed Pujol in Mexico City—have inked a lease for a new project in Manhattan's Noho. Partner Santiago Gomez sends word:

Gomez adds that the concept will still be Mexican but more casual than Cosme. It will also be smaller, with about 65 seats. A note on the community board's agenda at that address lists a project called Atla—but with the opening this far out, names can often change.

So no one has to go look at a map, 372 Lafayette is the corner just south of Andrew Carmellini's Lafayette and is a block away from where the Gjelina team is working on a double-decker project on Bond Street. So brace for a vortex of wait lines sometime later this year.
