Danny Meyer's Opening A Restaurant In Bryant Park

Hop off the ice-skating rink and into the dining room at this seasonal spot

Come October, Bryant Park's big lawn gets covered and an ice-skating rink is laid down, surrounded by a pop-up holiday market. This winter, the festivities are getting a new seasonal Danny Meyer restaurant named Public Fare, Eater NY reports.

Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group already operates an outpost of Public Fare at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, so this isn't entirely uncharted territory, but it's still a nice addition for the neighborhood. Fresh off the ice, diners will be able to order breakfast, soups, salads, sweets and booze throughout the day (pro tip: watch the booze if you're headed back onto the ice).

The restaurant will be open from October through the beginning of March, and the contract is good for four years. Meanwhile, Meyer has his hands full preparing to reopen Union Square Cafe and its new offshoot, Daily Provisions.
