Last summer, an ice cream museum opened near the Whitney, and tickets sold out almost instantly. The museum was a pop-up, so, sadly, it's now gone. But the city is getting a permanent chocolate museum, courtesy of cocoa master Jacques Torres. The Choco-Story New York, The Chocolate Museum and Experience with Jacques Torres, as it's called, will be at Torres's sprawling store and chocolate workshop on the far West Side, just a block from the Children's Museum of the Arts—a perfect pairing for young museum goers.
The museum will offer nine premium chocolate tastings by a professional chocolatiers and guests can register for a chocolate making class. Tickets are now on sale and we anticipate they are going to sell out fast.
Introducing Manhattan’s FIRST EVER chocolate museum and experience! For this, I have partnered with Eddy Van Belle, chocolate aficionado and founder of four other Choco-Story museums around the world. At the museum, visitors will discover the story of chocolate and its journey from bean to bar through original artifacts, nine premium tastings, kids’ corner and a bon bon making class, offering an educational – and DELICIOUS - hands-on experience for families, children, and all of my chocolate lovers.
