Caffeinated Bagels From Einstein Bros.

Have your coffee and eat it, too

Coffee lovers who typically enjoy a bagel with their morning cup of joe can now have the best of both worlds, thanks to this new caffeine alternative.

National bagel chain Einstein Bros. has just released the world's first caffeinated bagel called the Espresso Buzz. It contains 32 milligrams of caffeine, equivalent to one-third of a cup of regular brewed coffee, according to the USDA. Made from both espresso and coffee-cherry flour, this carbohydrate is packed with 13 grams of protein and is perfect for getting that morning kick or curing a horrible hangover.

"We have watched the coffee category expand and adapt as Millennials converted to coffee drinkers, attracted by the smoother flavor and artisanal characteristics and third- and fourth-wave coffee," Kerry Coyne, senior vice president and head of marketing and research and development at Einstein, says in an email to Fox News.

The java-laced bagel is part of the company's new Boosted Bagels line, which also features an oat-topped Cherry Chia Bagel and Savory Parm Bagel.
