Legendary Los Angeles restaurateur Bill Chait, who co-owns a number of the city's most significant restaurants including Bestia, République and the brand new Otium, will be stepping down as the managing partner of Sprout, the restaurant group he founded. Chait will hold on to his stake in Sprout, but turn his attention to independent projects including one that he tells Eater will be "as significant as" Otium. So, Angelenos should keep their eyes open for another major opening in the next year or two.
Meanwhile, the day to day operations of the restaurants under the Sprout umbrella will stay the same and the group is still on track to open Bar Moruno in the Grand Central Market early next year.
