Amazon Is Giving Prime Members Free Deliveries from Whole Foods
Yesterday, the tech giant-grocery store duo announced Prime members are now eligible for free two-hour deliveries on orders over $35 from Whole Foods. The perk is currently available in four cities (Austin, Cincinnati, Dallas and Virginia Beach), though the service is set to expand to the rest of the country later this year. Shoppers can just start adding to their online baskets via the Whole Foods section of Prime Now.
"We're happy to bring our customers the convenience of free two-hour delivery through Prime Now," Whole Foods CEO John Mackey says in the announcement. "Together, we have already lowered prices on many items, and this offering makes Prime customers' lives even easier."
You can expect most (but not all) of the items you'd find in an actual Whole Foods store, including booze. Can't wait two hours for your coconut oil to arrive? Tack on an extra eight bucks, and it'll be at your door in an hour.
