The thermometer is finally creeping up past the 30-degree mark, so make use of your extra-long weekend with a tequila-fueled, post-Valentine's Day dinner (for those who can't get enough of the holiday); a beer-fueled, snow-tubing day trip; and a Lunar New Year parade in NYC's other Chinatown.

Valentine's Day at Añejo Tribeca

February 14 lasts the entire week at this Mexican restaurant, where a five-course tasting menu (including plates of crispy cauliflower tacos and Spanish rock octopus) comes paired with varying expressions of tequila.

Friday, February 16

New Year Firecracker Ceremony and Cultural Festival

Head to Chinatown for this free party celebrating the Year of the Dog filled with performances, lion dances and food vendors.

Winemaker Seminar

Famed California winemaker Gideon Bienstock is making the cross-country trek to Le Dû's wine shop in the West Village, where he's walking you through six varietals.

Brewers Dinner

Visit the Bronx Brewery for this five-course tasting prepared by chef Jose DeJesus, with beer pairings for each plate.

Saturday, February 17

Lunar New Year Parade

Head over to the city's other Chinatown in Flushing for the annual march filled with vibrant costumes, floats, dancing and traditional celebrations. 

Snow Tubing and Brewery Tour

Need to get out of the city? Round-trip transportation from NYC is included in this one-day getaway, which involves two hours of snow tubing at Mountain Creek resort before a visit to a local brewery.

Vegan Market at Market Hotel

This newly renovated Bushwick hotel is home to a weekly pop-up hosting vendors from all over NYC, including vegan chocolatier Chocolate Calling, gluten-free bakery Gone Pie and plant-based restaurant The Organic Grill.
