Cheesemonger Invitational In San Francisco

America's best cheese makers are all gathering in one place

"Cheesemonger" might not have the same panache as Superman or Captain America, but to Adam Moskowitz, otherwise known as the "prince of cheese," it's a profession that's just as heroic.

It's why the dairy expert is bringing the Cheesemonger Invitational to San Francisco this weekend—an event that's equal parts an opportunity for cheesemongers to be "celebrated by their community" and a competition that's being billed as the Olympics of cheese.

The invitational isn't just an all-you-can-eat affair either, with educational workshops, guided tastings and round tables with some of the industry's best cheesemakers. After you've gotten your fill, you can watch the Top Chef-style competition that tests contestants on the skills essential to a cheesemonger.

Of course, you don't have to have spent time behind a deli counter to attend: Tickets to the event are also available to the public.
