Balsamic Berry Cocktail
Recipe adapted from David Ruiz of That's My Jamm
Yield: Makes 1 drink
Cook Time: 10 minutes
2 ounces gin
1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice, plus a pinch of lime zest
1/2 ounce egg white
Several heavy dashes balsamic vinegar
1 bar spoon mixed-berry jam (Bonne Maman brand preferred)
1. Combine the gin, lime juice, egg white, balsamic vinegar and jam in a shaker and shake vigorously to emulsify the egg white.
2. Add ice to the shaker and shake again until chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the lime zest.
