TT Test Kitchen Tip: Compound butters aren't just for the dinner table. To dress up pancakes, waffles or toast, stir in cinnamon in place of the curry.

Honey-Curry Compound Butter

Recipe from the Tasting Table Test Kitchen

Yield: 1/2 cup

Cook Time: 5 minutes


1 stick unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon spicy curry powder (or 1 tablespoon curry powder plus 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper)

½ teaspoon flaky sea salt

½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper


In a food processor, combine the butter, honey, curry powder, salt and pepper. Blend until smooth.
