Brandy Milk Punch

Recipe adapted from Galatoire's, New Orleans

Yield: 1 cocktail

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes



2 ounces brandy or bourbon

5 ounces whole milk

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon simple syrup (1 part sugar and 1 part water, boiled until the sugar dissovles)

Fresh nutmeg


1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the brandy or bourbon, milk, vanilla extract and simple syrup. Shake vigorously. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice.

2. Garnish with a light dusting of freshly grated nutmeg. Serve immediately.
