The secret to why NYC's food tastes so good? The tap water—or so say the people behind New York WaterMaker, a new product promising to bring the "superior taste of NYC food and beverages to the rest of the world."

Whether or not what comes out of the city's faucets really is the secret to those folded pizza slices and crisp yet chewy bagels is still up for debate, but according to the company's press release, WaterMaker is the only system on the market that can replicate the "exact hardness, molecular structure, and chemical composition of a specific location's water," with a specific focus on NYC.

"Through this innovative system, recipes will be tastier, bread will be crispier, and pizza and bagels will be authentic New York City style (not an imitation)," the release continues. Skeptical minds can check out the system at the 2018 International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas, which takes place this weekend.
