No-Bake Oreo Strawberry Tart
Don't sweat over this summery strawberry-topped, Oreo-crusted dessert
As sultry summer weather begins to rear its humid head, it brings with it the collective avoidance of turning on the oven. Meaning it's time for no-bake desserts to shine. In addition to heat, the season also brings the arrival of sweet and juicy strawberries. So we're topping a no-bake Oreo-crusted chocolate tart with a quart of them.
Besides strawberries and chocolate being an incomparable combination, there's no better way to show off the berries than by thinly slicing them and fanning them out to create a pretty swirling pattern on top of dark rich chocolate.
In a food processor, combine 1 package of Oreos with 2 sticks of melted, unsalted butter and a ¼ teaspoon of kosher salt. Pulse until the cookies are completely crushed and all is incorporated. The mixture will be very wet and soft.

While the crust is chilling, bring 8 ounces of heavy cream to a simmer. Pour 12 ounces of semisweet chocolate chips into a bowl and add in the cream, letting sit for 1 minute. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and ¼ teaspoon of kosher salt. Mix until a smooth sauce forms.
Remove the crust from the freezer and pour the chocolate ganache into its bottom. Spread it out evenly.
Top the ganache with approximately 1 quart of thinly sliced strawberries.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight. Garnish with powdered sugar and serve.
