Video: How To Make Cheesy Bacon-Wrapped Dates

The easiest sweet-and-savory 3-ingredient appetizer

What's chewy, crispy, sweet and savory all at the same time? Cheese-stuffed bacon-wrapped dates, that's what.

Pack each gooey date until bursting with pungent blue cheese and then wrap snugly in strips of bacon. Once in the oven, the cheese gets soft and mellows out, the dates slack, and the bacon crisps up to balance the sweetness. These dates are not only the ultimate sweet-and-savory snack, but also the easiest appetizer to make.

Preheat oven to 400°. Pit 24 dates, careful not to make the cuts too large. Stuff each one with a ½-inch chunk of soft blue cheese. Close each date, sealing well and wrapping tightly in a 3-inch strip of bacon. Line up on a half sheet tray and roast in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve garnished with parsley.
