She also previously lived in Bangkok, where they wrote on topics related to food, culture, and travel for outlets like Travel + Leisure Southeast Asia, AFAR Magazine, DestinAsian, Hidden Compass, and Roads & Kingdoms. Since then, she has also written features and news stories for Grub Street and Crain's Detroit Business. Their writing is forthcoming at the Guardian.
Education
Allison is a student at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, and they have a bachelor's in English literature from CUNY Hunter College. Both schools are located in Manhattan.
