At this diminutive neighborhood joint, chef-owner Daniel Serfer cooks up comfort on a plate to start, break up or finish the work day. Try an on-point shrimp and grits with bacon and New Orleans "barbecue" sauce, and cap it off with fruit cobbler à la mode. There's plenty for vegetarians to choose from a revolving "veg chalkboard" of dishes, including grilled asparagus with blue cheese, and sweet potato wedges. Serfer sometimes has a heavy hand with the salt; if that's not your thing, be sure to specify.
