All Weekend
American Ballet Theatre's Whipped Cream
Proving ballet can be a sweet treat, ABT opens its spring season with a second run of Alexei Ratmansky's Whipped Cream, which follows a boy who goes overboard at a Viennese pastry shop and enters a state of sugary delirium. Prefer your ballet with a side of chivalry? Then reserve your seat for the company's rendition of Don Quixote.
Summer Fancy Food Show
Oh, you fancy, huh? Discover the latest in food innovation at this weekend-long event that brings together more than hundreds of specialty food vendors and artisans to showcase what's next in good eating. Registration gets you seats at seminars and discussions about the industry and the future of specialty food. If anything, it's the perfect opportunity to sample everything before everyone else.
Midsummer Night Swing
Grab your dancing shoes for an outdoor party at Lincoln Center. Friday night brings a ballroom session taught by Eva Carrozza, followed by a live set courtesy of Gerard Carelli and His Orchestra. If swing is more your speed, hit the dance floor Saturday for an evening of big band swing backed by The Glenn Crytzer Orchestra.
