Mikkeller Brewery NYC

It's the Danish brewer's first East Coast location

No one ever said the beers at baseball games had to be watery light lagers. Just ask cult-favorite craft brewer Mikkeller, which just opened a 10,000-square-foot brewery and bar in Citi Field.

It's the acclaimed Danish brewery's first U.S. location outside of California, and it comes equipped with 60 taps—meaning there will be no shortage of variety for Mets fans to sip during the seventh-inning stretch. And instead of stale hot dogs, Mikkeller is sourcing snacks from Pat LaFrieda, Claus Meyer's Great Northern Food Hall and Korean fried chicken from Unidentified Flying Chickens, based nearby in Queens.

Once you've swung by the retail shop to buy as many cans as you can take back on the subway, tour the 20-barrel brewhouse itself, where fresh beer gets bottled each week.
