Harvey Weinstein Sued By Lindt Chocolate

The disgraced producer and his company owe $133,000 worth of chocolate

Chocolate truffle maker Lindt & Sprüngli is suing The Weinstein Company for $133,000, Variety reports. The Swiss confectionery company has been the sponsor of the disgraced film studio's annual Golden Globes bash, having shelled out $400,000 over three payments for 2016, 2017 and what was supposed to be 2018's party.

Of course, this year's event was canceled after the explosive sexual misconduct allegations that came up against Harvey Weinstein in October of last year. According to the suit, Lindt is still waiting to be refunded for its canceled sponsorship, despite promises from Weinstein Co. employees it would be paid back.

But with bankruptcy being a more-than-likely option for the film company, it might be a while before Lindt gets its $133,000.
