Deck the halls with pints of ice cream
Everyone else is out shopping for Black Friday, but we have a better idea for how you should spend your time: cuddled up with a pint of Salt & Straw's just-released holiday flavors.
The festive pints from the always-imaginative ice cream maker will be available through December, in flavors like gingerbread cookie dough, which uses grandmother's molasses cookies both in cookie butter and mix-in form; a shortbread-laden pint, where apple brandy and pecan pie join forces; and spiked eggnog ice cream with custom-made lingonberry jam.
In case you don't live near one of its California or Portland, Oregon, scoop shops, you can also order them online. And since it's the season of giving, we suggest you order Congressman Blumenauer's Fruitcake, a pint with brandy-soaked, 17-ingredient cake folded into salted vanilla ice cream. When you do, funds go toward providing children with bicycles, helmets and bike training.
