CHiP Promises Fresh Cookies In 10 Minutes

Think of it as a Keurig for cookies

A good cookie should never be too far from reach, or at least that's what the crew at CHiP thinks. The company has developed a machine and app that allows users to get fresh-baked cookies into their hands (read: mouths) in 10 minutes.

Those cookies come from pods—yes, like Keurig—and are baked in a slow cooker-looking device that also happens to resemble a grown-up version of an Easy Bake Oven. Cookie lovers can pick how they like their treats and tell the machine via an app if they want chewy, classic or crispy cookies. There are several flavors to choose from, from the more classic salted chocolate chip to a banana quinoa breakfast cookie. (The CHiP team is pretty into selling the idea of "healthy" breakfast cookies. Um, sure, guys.)

Customers can order cookies in four-packs or sign up for a cookie subscription, which sounds a bit dangerous for home use, but, employers, please take note.

After successfully launching a Kickstarter campaign, the company is finally accepting preorders for $129 per machine—which might just be less than your utilities bill. Expected delivery is set for October, just in time for the holidays.
