Where To Get The Country's Best Burgers

America's burger obsession is nothing new. But these days, chefs across the country are reimagining the classic beef patty-and-bun combo. And it seems like every time we scroll through our social feed, there's a bevy of new tempting toppings—from furikake to quail eggs. Here, 10 Instagram-worthy burgers that have us salivating.

Offering up a totally new take on surf and turf, Saltie Girl in Boston tops its signature three-beef burger with fried lobster, house-cured pork belly, Gruyère, avocado and angry sauce (house-made spicy aioli).

It doesn't get better than the grilled Wagyu beef burger at Tavo in NYC. The indulgent dish is loaded with pan-seared foie gras, avocado, sharp cheddar, a portabello mushroom and bacon, and served on a brioche bun. 

East meets west at Ohana Burger, an Asian fusion burger joint in L.A. The top seller? The Daniel-San, which combines marinated Angus beef, chile mayo, a fried egg, furikake, caramelized bacon, crispy onions and spicy miso sauce.

Created by supermodel Cindy Crawford as part of Umami Burger's Artist Series, the Casa Burger boasts two jalapeño-and-beef patties piled high with smashed avocado, butter lettuce, oven-roasted tomato, miso mustard, caramelized onions, American cheese, tortilla chips, salsa brava and queso fresco. Order it and you'll be chowing down for a good cause: a dollar from each burger sold is donated to the American Family Children's Hospital. 

The best way to eat Fritos? On a burger, of course. The Terlingua Burger at Hopdoddy Burger Bar in Austin is topped with chili con carne, Tillamook cheddar, Fritos, sassy sauce, red leaf lettuce, white onion and sliced beefsteak tomato.

A slider counts as a burger, right? It does when it's topped with bacon, cheddar, smashed tater tots, truffle honey, aioli and a fried quail egg—like this one from Ricky's South Beach.

An ode to nearby Dodger Stadium, The Ballpark Burger at PS 213 in Downtown L.A. combines everything you love about a ball game into a winning burger: a beef patty smothered in beer-cheese fondue and piled high with beer-battered onion rings, avocado and pickled jalapeños. It's all piled atop a pretzel bun.
