This $150 Thermos Fixes Lukewarm Coffee

The Ember coffee mug keeps your coffee at the perfect temperature

Peppermint mocha lovers have another reason to celebrate the season: Starbucks has introduced a coffee mug that keeps your holiday-scented brew at the perfect temperature from the very first sip down to the very last drop.

Made by tech start-up Ember, the mug uses a set of temperature sensors and heating rings to keep caffeine at your ideal temperature for up to two hours on the go or indefinitely when attached to the charging coaster. Simply rotate the dial on the bottom to adjust the mug to any temperature between 120 and 150 degrees. An app is also available for iOS and Apple Watch users, so you can even remotely bump up the temperature of your coffee while you're in a meeting.

There's one catch (that's possibly a deal breaker): Ember retails for $150. Though that's a hefty amount of cash to throw down for a thermos, any interested tech-forward coffee aficionados can find the mug at select Starbucks locations in the U.S. or directly through the Ember website.
