Joël Robuchon To Open In Chelsea

Acclaimed French chef Joël Robuchon has been without a space in New York City since 2012. Come spring, however, he'll be back with his high-end tasting counter, L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon, DNAinfo reports. The restaurant, once located in the Four Seasons hotel, is taking over the Colicchio & Sons restaurant in Chelsea, which has been empty since early last month.

Robuchon already operates nine other outposts of the restaurant, including one in Las Vegas, so this is familiar territory. The liquor license application explains that diners can expect signature dishes like poached foie gras and scallop carpaccio with uni.

Meanwhile, Robuchon's team is also installing the more casual Joël Robuchon Restaurant, which is also a market and bakery, in Midtown East.
