Eataly And The Nomad Are Headed To Las Vegas

While Mario Batali ships out Eataly salami, The NoMad's Will Guidara and Daniel Humm will be packing up their knives—everyone's headed to Las Vegas. Eataly and The NoMad will both open there in 2018 as part of a $450 million deal, according to a statement.

The project is twofold: The NoMad, will open a 292 room hotel, with Guidara and Humm overseeing the food and beverage program, as well as something called NoMad gaming. Designer Jacques Garcia, who has styled several French hotels, is working on the project so expect a European touch.

Over at the new Park MGM, Eataly will be setting up shop with its cured meats, olive oils, pastas and several dining spaces. There's no word yet on which of their restaurant concepts will open in Vegas, but the New York location currently offers several dining options, including one focused on fish, another on meat and the popular piazza, which is all about wine, cheeses and Italian snacking.

Both Eataly and The NoMad are well on their way to being national brands, with both planning locations in Los Angeles in 2017.
