Top 10 Outdoor Brunches In San Francisco | Tasting Table SF

Our favorite outdoor brunches in SF

Springtime and sunshine call for an amazing outdoor brunch. Here, in no particular order, are our top ten in SF, any of which would make an excellent option for Mother's Day (hint, hint).

Foreign Cinema

Part of SF's brunch honor guard, thanks to fresh-baked pastries (including an infamous seasonal Pop-Tart-like pastry) and a killer raw bar. Oh, and that gorgeous atrium-like patio, of course.

El Techo de Lolinda

The rooftop portion of Argentinian steakhouse Lolinda is always fun. Feast on its iteration of eggs benedict (with jalapeño cornbread and chorizo) along with a margarita or a Paloma–both available in pitcher form.

Central Kitchen

The beautiful space shines in daylight and the thoughtful brunch menu has an answer for a wide range of cravings (delicate hamachi crudo, a heart-stopping fried chicken Benedict).

The back patio is made for leisurely meals, like a chorizo pizza topped with runny-yolked eggs, accompanied by glasses of Prosecco.

The Tipsy Pig

This Chestnut Street pub gets rowdy in the evening, but midday is the perfect time to soak up the sun and enjoy hearty brunch fare (bacon and cheddar breakfast sandwich, anyone?) in its charming outside space.

Show up early to secure a spot in the attractive garden at this Cole Valley staple. Perfectly executed Croque Royales, omelets and the rich cream cheese coffee cake are worth the wait.

Universal Cafe

Flavorful organic fare, a sun-soaked seating area and ridiculously good house-made English muffin egg sandwiches.

Arlequin Cafe

One of the city's best back gardens. Nibble on dangerously good brioche doughnuts or pretzel croissants paired with a bottle of rosé from the wine shop.

The Ramp

The food's so-so, but the atmosphere at the all-outdoor restaurant is hard to beat. Keep things classic with hearty scrambles and omelets or a satisfying burger.

Il Cane Rosso

There's no shortage of Bay-facing outdoor seating around the Ferry Building, but we love this brunch menu. The olive oil fried egg sandwich is fantastic.
