Summer on Sligo, adapted from Gordon Banks

Ingredients
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1⁄2 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 3⁄4 ounce simple syrup (1 part sugar dissolved in 1 part water)
  • 3 Thai basil leaves, torn, plus an additional leaf for garnish
Directions
  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake vigorously for about 10 seconds.
  2. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with the additional basil leaf and serve.
