At Charleston institution, Hominy Grill, a classic Negroni is topped with a float of cherry-flavored Cheerwine soda.

Ingredients

Ice
1 ounce gin
1 ounce Aperol
1 ounce sweet vermouth
2 to 4 ounces Cheerwine

Directions

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the gin, Aperol and vermouth. Shake and strain into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice. Top with Cheerwine and serve with a straw.
