Cue Up Summer With Tasting Table At Belly Q Chicago
A festive Tasting Table feast at BellyQ
If you're familiar with Urbanbelly, Belly Shack or BellyQ, you know that Bill Kim makes some of the most creative, boundary-breaking food in town.
What you might not know is this: The chef throws one hell of a party.
Come see for yourself on Wednesday, August 7, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., at our 'Cue Up Summer party at Belly Q ($40 plus sales tax; get tickets here).
Kim's summertime feast embodies his globe-trotting style, which deftly weaves Latin American, East and Southeast Asian flavors. There will be pork posole shooters, rice-paper rolls with soba noodles and mint, chilled shrimp with red Thai curry, crispy tofu with sweet and sour sauce, Omaha Steaks Chateaubriand with miso-horseradish glaze, and more.
And those are just the snacks.
The main event encompasses our wildest nose-to-tail Asian taco fantasies: Braised pork shank with chickpeas will be loaded into tortillas and topped with salsa verde, Asian slaw and tangy Belly Fire sauce. They'll be joined by tea-smoked pork head, lechón-style charcoal-roasted pork loin, and baby back pork ribs with hoisin barbecue sauce.
The evening will be accompanied by free-flowing Stella Artois, Santa Margherita wines, and Hendrick's gin and Monkey Shoulder whiskey cocktails, and finished with cones of soft-serve.
Reserve a spot while you can, as this is one summer barbecue you don't want to miss.
