Macrons From Le Dix-Sept Patisserie | San Francisco

A sophisticated sweet with a French accent

Come next Sunday, everyone you know is going to wish they were your mom.

Or, at the very least, each of them is going to wish he or she were the person on the receiving end of a slim box of Parisienne-style macarons from Le Dix-Sept patisserie.

If you're not familiar with Le Dix-Sept's wares, it's probably because Le Dix-Sept has no storefront. Instead, Michelle Hernandez, who worked in pastry at both L'Agapé and L'Angle du Faubourg in Paris and named her company for the arrondissement she once called home, bakes her creations to order. Customers can pick up at Pot & Pantry or, for an additional fee, have the goods delivered; a 10-piece box of macarons is $24.

The box contains three flavors: lime-lemon, filled with white chocolate-lime ganache; hibiscus, with a concentrated strawberry-confit filling; and a Tcho chocolate macaron, filled with a bittersweet ganache.

Mom would love them. But if you think a box will make it to her with no macarons missing, you're a better kid than we are. Better to order a box for yourself too.

Mother's Day orders must be placed by Wed., May 9, for pick-up May 12 or 13. For more information and to place an order, visit ledixsept.com
