Lior Lev Sercarz's La Boite Spice Shop In Hell's Kitchen Sells Custom Spice Blends

After creating dozens of custom spice blends for many the country's top chefs (and launching a line of seasonal, art-inspired cookies and biscuits), Lior Lev Sercarz wants to spice up your life, too.

The former Daniel chef has opened the doors of La Boîte, a shop/art gallery/teaching kitchen in Hell's Kitchen. There he sells his wares, teaches cooking classes and displays the works of the artists featured in his latest release of La Boîte à Biscuits.

If one of the 40 spice blends (many of them born out of projects for chefs) on offer doesn't entice, Sercarz will work with you to create a bespoke mix and–with your blessing–sell it in the shop. He'll also set you up with a tasting menu featuring your blend at one of his favorite restaurants.

Right now, the shop is appointment-only (call ahead to set up a visit), but in the coming months, there will be cooking classes, demos and other special events.
