Le Fooding Event In Brooklyn, New York City At P. S. 1 Contemporary Art Center On Sept. 25
Food + Feeling = Le Fooding.
In the decade since French journalist Alexandre Cammas penned this curious Franglish contraction, the term has grown into a postmodern dining revolution of sorts. Placed at the nexus of food, drink, music and art, Le Fooding promotes ingenuity over convention through a series of highly visual dining guides and avant-garde picnics.
And next month, Le Fooding will invade New York.
On September 25 and 26, a posse of top chefs, mixologists, DJs and artists from New York and Paris will take over P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center for Le Fooding d'Amour, which–rain or shine–will be the most talent-heavy picnic ever.
NYC representatives include chefs David Chang (Momofuku), Wylie Dufresne (wd-50), Julie Farias (General Greene), Daniel Boulud and Olivier Muller (db Bistro), Riad Nasr (Minetta Tavern) and Sean Rembold (Diner)–as well as drinks from Richie Boccato (Dutch Kills) and music from DJ Paul Sevigny.
And from Paris: chefs Inaki Aizpitarte (Le Chateaubriand), Yves Camdeborde (Le Comptoir de la Relais), Alberto Herraiz (Fogón), Stephane Jego (L'Ami Jean), William Ledeuil (Ze Kitchen Galerie) and Christophe Pelé (La Bigarrade)–along with mixologist Thierry Hernandez (La Plaza Athenee) and DJ Kolkoz.
Tickets ($30; $60 for access to the Veuve Clicquot VIP lounge), which benefit Action Against Hunger, will surely disappear moments after they go on sale on September 1. But you, attentive Tasting Table reader, can secure yours before anyone else. Click here to find out how.
And stay tuned for updates and more surprises.
