Subway Is Getting Ready For Fall With A Revamped Soup Lineup

Founded in 1965, Subway began selling sandwiches for between 49 to 69 cents, and today, it's one of the most popular sandwich chains, with more than 37,000 stores in over 100 countries. Subway introduced its first iconic sandwich, which was packed with Genoa salami, spicy pepperoni, and Black Forest Ham, in 1975 and called it the BMT, meaning "Biggest, Meatiest, Tastiest." Decades later, Subway offers everything from salads, wraps, and bowls to personal pizzas and cookies.

In July 2022, Subway revamped its sandwich menu, marking the first major menu change the company has made in nearly 60 years. Subway's new sandwich menu features 12 specialty subs split into four groups: Italianos, Clubs, Chicken, and Cheesesteaks. Now, seemingly just in time for soup season, Subway is gearing up for fall by revamping its soups and offering a special promotion to celebrate the news.

Subway is refreshing three soups

In a recent press release, Subway revealed its newly reworked lineup of soups and a special promotion to go along with them. To improve its existing soups, Subway focused on enhancing the flavor and texture as well as making each soup "creamier, richer, and heartier." The three revamped soups are Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup, Broccoli Cheddar Soup, and Loaded Baked Potato Soup. To celebrate the new soups, Subway will be hosting "Souped Up" weekends beginning on October 7, 2022, where those with Subway accounts who receive Subway's promotional emails can get $1 off any of the new soups. New rewards members must sign up and select to receive emails at least three days before the promotion begins to get the discount.

Regarding the refreshed soup lineup, Paul Fabre, the Senior Vice President of Culinary and Innovation at Subway, said, "The Subway culinary team spent more than a year in our test kitchen tweaking our recipes to pack even more flavor into our fan-favorite side, and we can't wait for America to taste the difference." Subway will also be offering samples of its new soups in New York City on October 5, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Gansevoort Plaza on the High Line, located at 820 Washington Street.
