The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Is Celebrating Its Return To An Iconic LA Location

Coffee is one of the most traded commodities in the world and according to the National Coffee Association's Spring 2022 National Coffee Data Trends report, about "66% of Americans now drink coffee each day" (per PR Newswire). Popular coffee chains, such as Starbucks and Dunkin', make it easy for most of us to get our daily cup of Joe. But one coffee chain that may not be as well-known, although a staple for west coasters, is The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

While The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf got its start in California in 1963, it has since expanded to over 1,000 locations worldwide with stores in New York, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Egypt, India, Japan, Panama, Vietnam, and more (via The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf). However, like a majority of businesses during the pandemic, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf had to close a few of its locations in 2020, according to the Santa Monica Mirror. But now coffee enthusiasts can get excited again because the coffee chain is reopening one of its previously-closed stores in a popular Los Angeles location.

Let the festivities begin

Per PR Newswire, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has returned to its 5700 Wilshire Boulevard location in the Wilshire Courtyard building in Los Angeles, California, with the help of GnarlyGrinds, Inc. franchise group. The company is marking the occasion by offering buy-one, get-one-free beverages on September 27, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. On September 28, 2022, the location will host "members of the Chamber of Commerce, a representative from the local senator's office, and executive members of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf" for a grand opening, ribbon-cutting ceremony, and hand out giveaways from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Rounding out the festivities, the location will have large beverages for half price on September 29, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Wilshire Courtyard location features seating indoors and outdoors, supports mobile ordering and reward redemption through The Coffee Bean Rewards app, and has a full menu available, including small-batch, custom-roasted coffee, full-leaf teas, and freshly baked goods.

Regarding the reopening, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf's Director of Franchise Operations Peter Vavra shared, "We are ... happy to extend our partnership with the GnarlyGrinds franchise group to continue bringing our iconic beverages to more guests." Matthew Song from GnarlyGrinds, Inc. said, "Our guests and surrounding tenants in the Wilshire Courtyard building have something to celebrate as their favorite morning start and afternoon pick-me up is now back and easily accessible" (via PR Newswire).
