- During his time as Opinion Editor for The Montclarion, Brian was awarded third place in editorial writing in he NJ Press Foundation College Newspaper Contest 2020-21. The editorial recognized was a piece calling for an improvement of mental health services for students on campus.
- Brian has conducted interviews with brewers from the Von Trapp Brewing in Stowe, Vermont and Common Space Brewery in Hawthorne, California. He has also interviewed the renowned Chef Roberto Santinbañez of Fonda in NYC.
- He is always searching for new beers to try and has visited breweries throughout the northeast. Brian has also written about his travels to London, where spent a day at the Beefeater Gin distillery and spoke with Head Distiller, Desmond Payne.
Experience
Brian's college career laid a foundational skillset on which he puts to use through his newfound passion for food and drink. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Brian began cooking, baking, and consuming as much food-related media as he could. What started out as a simple hobby quickly shaped his career path. Since then, Brian has combined his knowledge with his skills as a writer to contribute to Tasting Table and Man of the Hour Magazine.
Education
At Montclair State University, Brian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies. This academic framework gave him a new perspective on how media affects its consumers and how every nuance and subtlety matters, no matter the subject at hand.
Tasting Table’s editorial coverage hails from a veteran group of writers and editors with expertise in their respective fields in the food and drink, hospitality, and agriculture industries. Outside experts are also consulted to help deliver factual, up-to-date information and original recipes.
