Between the incredible health benefits and excellent taste, what's not to love?

Recipe developer Susan Olayinka came up with this tasty recipe that would make a great side to any main course. "I love the simplicity of this recipe. It only takes a few minutes to prepare and cook, and it's healthy and flavorful," she raves. "The garlic butter adds a nice touch of flavor to the Brussels sprouts, which can sometimes be a bit bitter." It's also worth noting that this recipe would be a good appetizer or starter.

Gather the ingredients for these garlic butter Brussels sprouts recipe

This recipe is pretty simple since it requires just four ingredients. Be sure to pick up Brussels sprouts, butter, garlic, and salt. Believe it or not, that's all you need!

Once you have those items, you can whip up these tasty garlic butter Brussels sprouts.

Mince the garlic cloves and slice Brussels sprouts

To begin, grab one of the stars of the dish — the garlic cloves. Place them into a garlic press to mince well. The garlic press is a magical tool that makes mincing garlic a breeze.

Once you finish the garlic, take out a cutting board and sharp knife. Remove the outside layers from your Brussels sprouts and then place them on the cutting board to slice in half.

Melt the butter in a skillet and add garlic

Grab a large skillet that is big enough to fit all of your Brussels sprouts. Turn the heat to medium and toss in the butter. Once the butter melts toss in the garlic. "I think the special ingredient here is garlic butter, Olayinka shares. "It elevates the flavors of the dish and makes it more enjoyable to eat. It mellows out the butter Brussels sprouts."

Add the Brussels sprouts and cook

Right after you add the garlic, you can toss in the halved Brussels sprouts. Give them a few good stirs to coat them with butter and garlic, and add a little bit of salt to taste.

Continue cooking the Brussels sprouts for 8 minutes. They should begin to char on the edges toward the end of cooking time, which indicates that you can remove them from the skillet. "I would recommend not overcooking the Brussels sprouts," Olayinka shares. "They should only be cooked for 8 minutes, so they are slightly charred on the edges. Any longer, and they will become mushy."

Serve and enjoy

Remove the Brussels sprouts from the skillet and serve immediately, as these are best enjoyed when hot. This recipe makes a great appetizer or a side to the main course. "I like to serve this as a side dish with roasted chicken or steak. It would also be good with grilled fish," Olayinka says.

Anything left? "Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. To reheat, just place the Brussels sprouts back in the skillet over medium heat and cook for 3-4 minutes until warmed through," Olayinka shares.

We hope you love this recipe as much as we do!
