Meggan worked in the fine wine and spirits business for three decades, in retail, with wholesalers, and as a supplier representative. Now having transitioned to full-time freelance writing, she enjoys tracking trends in wine, spirits, and craft beer, as well as learning more about emerging winemaking regions. Meggan excels at consumer education and has presented wines and delivered educational seminars for local gatherings of the American Wine Society and the Taster's Guild. Though she has broad writing experience across a range of industries, including ghostwriting several fiction series, she's happiest serving up interesting tidbits about lesser-known grape varieties and new developments in the wine world.

Meggan has a B.A. in English Language and Literature from McDaniel College, graduating summa cum laude and a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
