Experience
Shelby began her professional career on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., where she served in the press shops of two Members of Congress. While politics and government were fascinating opportunities, Shelby was hungry for more... literally... and took her talents to the food & beverage industry, where she worked for the National Turkey Federation as their primary food blogger and manager of a vast network of food and recipe influencers. Her work was amplified in Forbes, The Boston Globe, and industry pubs, Food & Wine and Meatingplace, to name a few. She continues to serve the meat and poultry industry while also pursuing opportunities to delve deeper into another passion, the burgeoning craft beer industry. Having passed her Level 1 ceritifcation as part of the Cicerone® Certification Program in 2022, Shelby plans to sit for her Level 2 certification by the end of 2023. She also serves as a craft beer tour guide in the Phoenix area, sharing her love and passion of the craft with visitors, tourists, and locals looking to expand their beer horizons.

Shelby has bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Alabama and the George Washington University, respectively.
