Roasting Marshmallows In The Oven Is Easier Than You Might Expect

When summer rolls around, we all start craving those campfire classics reminiscent of our childhood. Whether you enjoy cooking hot dogs over the fire, are always wanting cast-iron cooked chili, or can't get enough of foil packet veggies, there are plenty of easy-to-make meals that elicit quintessential summertime feelings.

However, for those that don't have access to outdoor spaces, or you're continuously faced with bad weather, you may be forced to host your annual summer gatherings inside. But, the lack of a bonfire or grill doesn't mean you have to give up on making those crave-able fire-side dishes. While everyone knows how to whip up hot dogs on a skillet or make baked beans on the stove, you may think all hope is lost when it comes to making your s'mores indoors. However, there is an easy way to roast marshmallows simply using your oven. By utilizing your broiler, you will have golden, toasted marshmallows in a matter of minutes.

Achieve golden, roasted marshmallows in minutes

While there are ways to set up your fireplace to cook food, the safest, most cost-effective, and most practical way to roast marshmallows inside is to pop them into your oven. The prep process takes only seconds. Simply line up a handful of marshmallows straight from the bag on a baking sheet with at least an inch between them.

Once they're arranged nicely on the sheet, your marshmallows can be popped into the oven and broiled. Keep a close eye on them and wait for them to turn golden. Once they're nice and toasty, remove the baking sheet, and flip the marshmallows over so the uncooked side is on top. Slide them back into the oven and let the other side broil too. In just a few minutes, you'll be enjoying fully cooked, roasted marshmallows. Feel free to stack the marshmallows into s'mores or eat them one by one while they're still warm.
