Jeni's Will Offer A Taste Of Ted Lasso With Its New Limited-Time Flavor

Fans of the Apple TV+ series "Ted Lasso" and its down-home, idiom-embracing namesake character get a sweet surprise in March 2023 from Jeni's ice cream, another pop-culture favorite. Known for collaborations with icons in industries ranging from country music to whiskey distilleries and hit TV shows such as "Outlander", it's fitting that the James Beard Award-winning ice cream founded by Jeni Britton gets to herald the release of "Ted Lasso" Season 3.

Like many of the offerings at Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, the Ted Lasso flavor has a story, one that's woven through the heart of Lasso relationships in the hit series. It revolves around a key food-fueled ritual threaded into each episode, following a trend with previous Jeni's collaborations.

As a Certified B Corporation devoted to social leadership, as well as supporting responsible environmental practices and local family businesses, the company has paired with the likes of Uncle Nearest whiskey, which honors the earliest known African American master distiller, Nearest Green, and with America's country sweetheart, Dolly Parton, a well-known philanthropist and social-accountability advocate. The first Dolly collaboration, the massively popular Strawberry Pretzel Pie ice cream, sold out online in minutes, leading to a second release that is expected to ship in April 2023.

Now it's Ted Lasso's turn to dish out some creamy feel-goodness, along with Jeni's, whose founder tells TODAY.com that making others feel good is the "reason to exist" for both the brands.

Biscuits With The Boss

Dropping just before the new season of "Ted Lasso," Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams lands with feet (or tongues) firmly in place. Viewers from couches around the world have no doubt craved a nibble of those homemade shortbread cookies that the main character, Ted Lasso, delivers in person every morning to his TV boss, Rebecca Welton. That chance has arrived with the appropriately named "Biscuits With The Boss" ice cream release from Jeni's.

The pints roll out on March 2, shortly before "Ted Lasso" Season 3 hits home screens on March 15 via Apple TV+. Jeni's reveals the ice cream as being pleasantly addictive, with a combination of salted butter sweet cream and shortbread cookie crumbles. Reflecting character Lasso's signature cookie gifts, the ice cream is "salty, mouthwatering, and conversation-worthy," according to the packaging.

"Biscuits With The Boss" joins a cold and creamy pint-sized parade of Jeni's favorites such as Maple Soaked Pancakes, Brambleberry Crisp, and Middle West Whiskey and Pecans ice cream. Ongoing collections include "A Date With the Couch," the "Gimme Chocolate" gang of creams, and "Ice Cream for Breakfast," which carries a tagline of "Oatmeal Can Wait. Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast." And why not?

The Ted Lasso collaboration is a limited-time release, but there are plenty of ways to get your freezers filled before it runs out. It's available in person from the 65-plus walk-in Jeni's scoop shops in at least 23 cities or can be ordered for local delivery or nationwide shipping.
