Shake Shack Is Adding 3 Sweet Holiday Shakes To Its Menu

Shake Shack got its humble start out of a hot dog cart in New York City's Madison Square Park, according to Investopedia. Chef Danny Meyer served hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries, and milkshakes at the stand, which was later converted to a more permanent location. The popularity of the food grew and often created a lineup at lunchtime. There was even a camera installed so that people could check the line length before deciding whether to go or not. The chain expanded throughout New York and eventually to the rest of the country. Today, Shake Shack has over 377 locations worldwide.

The fast food chain is well-known for serving up what's in the name: Shakes that are hand-spun from frozen custard. The year-round menu features six shake flavors, including vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream, black and white, strawberry, as well as vanilla and chocolate mixed. Customers can even choose to have their shakes malted, which adds a little extra richness to each sip. Now, Shake Shack is introducing some limited seasonal shake flavors.

These flavors will only be here for a limited time

To celebrate the holiday season this year, Shake Shack has released three new limited-edition shakes, according to a press release received by Tasting Table. Prices for each shake will start at $5.99, and they are available to purchase now at Shake Shack locations nationwide throughout the holiday season for a limited time. The festive flavors pull inspiration from treats traditionally enjoyed around the winter holidays and condense them down into drinks that can be enjoyed on the go.

The Christmas Sugar Cookie shake will feature a sugar cookie-flavored frozen custard topped with whipped cream and holiday-themed sprinkles. The second shake, Chocolate Milk & Cookies, will combine malted chocolate frozen custard with chocolate cookies and will then be finished with chocolate cookie crumbles over whipped cream. The final shake uses a classic Christmas season flavor. The Chocolate Peppermint shake hand-spins peppermint fudge in chocolate frozen custard before being topped with whipped cream and candy cane sprinkles.
