The Secret Starbucks Vampire Drink You Need To Try This Halloween

One of the great things about Starbucks coffee is the endless customization. Whether you make a little change — like light ice, non-dairy milk, or an extra shot of espresso — or you customize the entire beverage, baristas can accommodate a variety of requests.

The endless customizations at the coffee behemoth have led to the creation of the Starbucks secret menu, which is a list of unofficial drinks created by baristas and fans alike. There is even an entire website that compiles the most popular menu creations. If you're a fan of the infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte, but craving a change, Taste of Home suggests trying the Pumpkin Cheesecake Frappuccino — a PSL with a splash of white mocha and cinnamon dolce syrups — or the Pumpkin Hot Chocolate, for non-coffee drinkers.

Starbucks offers various limited-edition drinks to commemorate seasons and holidays — like the PSL — but fans can be left craving those drinks after they're taken off the menu. However, if you know exactly what goes into your favorite drink, you could be able to order it even after it's gone. To celebrate Halloween, check out this recipe for a drink that used to be on the menu.

Sip on the Frappula Frappucino for spooky season

Starbucks previously released a limited-edition drink leading up to Halloween called The Frappula Frappuccino. The frozen blended beverage was only available for four days in October 2016, but you can still order it if you know what to ask for — and you have a barista that's up for a little experimentation.

The drink consists of four layers, with the bottom consisting of mocha sauce and whipped cream. The middle section — the Frappuccino — is blended ice, milk, and white chocolate mocha sauce. Strawberry puree goes around the rim to look like oozing blood, fitting for its vampiric name. Finally, the drink is topped off with some whipped cream for an extra sweet finish.

These individual ingredients should be available in most Starbucks locations, thanks to their uses in other drinks on the menu (like the Pink Drink for strawberry puree, and the white chocolate mocha sauce for the Frappuccino of the same name). As long as you don't mind paying a little extra for your custom drink, you can bring this Frappuccino back from the dead to celebrate Halloween this year!
