Starbucks' 2022 Holiday Menu May Have Just Been Leaked

For coffee fans, it looks like Christmas might be coming early this year. Pumpkin Spice Latte enthusiasts won't soon forget when Starbucks' fall menu was leaked at the end of July 27, more than a month before it was scheduled to hit stores. It announced the return of the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and a "reformulated" Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato — along with an $0.80 price increase on the Pumpkin Spice Latte. Still, the extra buck didn't seem to hold any fans back: Immediately following the release of its Pumpkin Spice Latte this year, Starbucks' interim CEO Howard Schultz reported the highest sales week in the company's 51-year history.

Now, Starbucks' 2022 Holiday menu may have just been leaked. The same Instagram account that brought fans the leaked fall menu is back with the coffee giants' thus-far-hidden winter lineup. "Don't mean to be the Fall Grinch," @markie_devo writes, "but here's your preview of the Starbees Winter menu." (While this information is not yet official, the account's previous fall menu prediction ended up being an accurate account of the seasonal offerings, so do with that what you will). Here's what might be in store.

Don't call it a comeback

According to the Instagram post, fans can expect to see the Peppermint Mocha return for its 20th year, via New York Post. Last year, Starbucks rolled out its first-ever dairy-free holiday drink, the Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte. In 2022, the beloved bevy will reportedly be back, along with the Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, and the Irish Cream Cold Brew. Home baristas will once again be able to pick up packages of the seasonal Thanksgiving Blend, Christmas Blend, and Holiday Blend ground coffees. Meanwhile, the Reserve Christmas 2022 Blend will feature notes of citrus, marmalade, and "seasonal spice."

Although it looks like no new drinks will be joining the 2022 Holiday lineup, Starbucks is introducing a new food item this year: the Chocolate Pistachio Swirl, a cinnamon-roll-style pastry with cream cheese filling. The kid-friendly Snowman Cookie and Reindeer Cake Pop will be returning; So will the Sugar Plum Cheese Danish and the Cranberry Bliss Bar. (One Instagram user comments, "Feel like innovation is stale they should shake up the menu a bit.")

So, when can fans expect to see the menu hit stores? In 2021, Starbucks launched holiday offerings on November 4. In 2020, it was November 6 (via Fox Business). Per the Instagram leak, this year's release is coming sooner than ever: November 2. So, seasonal-sippers should keep their eyes peeled. But, perhaps you should consider marking calendars on November 1 to be safe.
