Vanilla Egg Cream Recipe
Vanilla egg cream is a drink that you don't want to miss out on. Recipe developer Susan Olayinka of The Flexible Fridge came up with this tasty beverage that requires just three ingredients. The short list of ingredients means that this recipe is super simple to make and it won't break the bank! Olayinka describes a little bit of the backstory behind the recipe, which has roots in the Empire state. "This recipe is inspired by the classic New York egg cream. It's a refreshing and simple drink that has been enjoyed for generations," Olayinka shares. It's always nice to have a recipe where you can easily add items based on your preferences!
There are many things to love about this recipe, but Olayinka points out her favorite part. "I love how simple and easy this recipe is! You can make it in just a few minutes, and it's so refreshing," she says. Another plus? You can always customize the drink to make it your own. "There are lots of ways you can change up this recipe to suit your own taste. Try adding some fruit, like strawberries or bananas, for a fruity twist. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, try using different flavored syrups. The possibilities are endless!" Olayinka raves. "This drink is incredibly refreshing and has a light, vanilla flavor. It's perfect for summertime."
Gather the ingredients for this vanilla egg cream recipe
Combine the ingredients together
For this part of the recipe, you will need a large jug. Go ahead and add the milk, vanilla syrup, and seltzer water. Easy enough, right? Now, use a whisk to mix the ingredients together until they are well combined. Please note that you will need to incorporate this by hand as a blender or any other power kitchen tool will destroy the bubbles and ruin the vanilla egg cream's frothiness and fizz.
Divide the drink and serve
As you can see from the instructions, this recipe yields two servings, so simply divide the drink evenly between the two glasses.
If you're looking for a little something extra, add some sprinkles on top or on the rim of the glass. This drink is best when served immediately, and we do not advise enjoying it leftover since it will lose its carbonation.
