Wish-Bone Is Recalling These 2 Salad Dressings Over Undeclared Allergens

There is nothing worse to an avid label-reader, especially one with a food allergy, than finding out that a trusted food brand left an ingredient off the label. For those with an egg allergy, it's time to check your fridge if you've recently purchased two types of Wish-Bone dressings that Conagra Brands, Inc. just recalled.

According to the U.S Food & Drug Administration (FDA), Conagra Brands, Inc. has recalled a small lot of Wish-Bone Chunky Blue Cheese and Thousand Island dressings due to undeclared egg in the product. There haven't been any illnesses reported yet, but the company is asking retailers to remove them from store shelves and consumers with an egg allergy to throw out the mislabeled products.

Although Food Dive reports that the FDA allows companies to make "minor formulation and ingredient changes" to food products without it being reflected on the label, this flexibility does not apply to foods like eggs that can cause severe reactions to those with an allergy. Conagra has yet to state how the egg made it into the dressings without it being clearly noted on the ingredients label.

Which specific Wish-Bone products are part of the lot recall?
