It might seem that taco-eating is only for the omnivores in Los Angeles, but this Cypress Park spot has a vegetarian option that's far more than a meat substitute–it's a star in its own right. Similar to the shrimp dorados from Mariscos Jalisco, these crunchy numbers are made by filling corn tortillas with spicy potatoes and deep-frying the tacos. It's a superb carb-on-carb crime.
