Soft, greasy and largely ungarnished, the cochinita pibil tacos served at this hut in Los Feliz are from another era of Los Angeles Mexican food, one that didn't take regionalism so seriously, one that was short of frills. Not only do the crowds descend day in and day out to eat these tacos, but the restaurant has also had a James Beard Award bestowed on it.
