Inkas Restaurant

Limón and La Mar attract all the press for their New Peruvian food, but Inkas in Bernal Heights is good for homey dishes: giant platters of ceviche, of course, as well as chaufa de camarones (Chinese-Peruvian fried rice), ají de gallina in a creamy sauce, and a straightforward pollo a la brasa. Simply seasoned, the chicken is cooked on a spit until the skin turns paper-crisp and golden; it's then served with fries and a spicy ají amarillo sauce to dab on the meat.
