Nong Lá
Thanks to this new Sawtelle restaurant, Vietnamese food on the Westside is no longer a wasteland of noodle shops with puny names serving so-so pho. You can even find the central Vietnamese favorite bun bo Hue here, a noodle soup flavored with lemon grass and chile oil. You won't find bits of pork blood floating in the broth, as you would down in Westminster, but the restaurant still represents a big step forward for Vietnamese food in this part of town.
