Meat & Greet

Angie Mar, NYC's master of steak, is preparing a feast just for you in our new NYC event space

While many chefs continue to chase down the latest trend in vegetables, Angie Mar of NYC's Beatrice Inn is sticking to what she knows best: transforming a cut of meat into a primal, elaborate feast. Mar, who approaches curating beef like a sommelier does fine wine, worked under some of the world's best chefs and butchers before transforming her West Village chophouse into a place The New York Times calls "one of the most celebratory restaurants in the city."

So who better to call upon to help us break in our brand-new event space in Soho? Get tickets ($175 a person) for our guest chef dinner with Angie Mar on June 26 at The Commons by Tasting Table, and experience firsthand this award-winning chef's mastery over whole-animal cooking.

You'll start with passed bites that will take you to The Beatrice Inn (without having to fight for the reservation): pan con tomate with black anchovies, garlic confit and duck fat; a savory cherry tart with goat cheese; and house-made charcuterie with huckleberry conserva. You'll then sit down to the main event: a succulent piece of dry-aged prime rib with cherry and bone marrow Bordelaise, buttered peas with black truffles and an anchovy salad. You'll then have time to participate in a Q&A session with Mar as you crack into a bone marrow and bourbon crème brûlée.
